Payment is due at the time of service.
Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check and credit card.
Returned checks will be subject to a $35 fee, in addition to the grooming fee for which the check was intended. Payment must be received before another appointment is made. Repeat offenders will be offered services on a cash-only basis.
Pawsitively Clean grooming services are by appointment only. If you need to reschedule an appointment, please provide me with 24 hours notice. Failure to notify me within 24 hours will result in a $25 cancellation fee.
Appointment times are approximated. Please allow for a 1 hour window for the time scheduled. This allows me to adequately serve the needs of all of my clients, while also allowing for the unpredictability of traffic, parking, and other surprises.
I will not risk the safety or well-being of a pet by hastening a groom. Nor will I put myself at risk by rushing to the next appointment. I will do my best to maintain my schedule but if I am running behind or ahead of schedule, you will receive a courtesy call or text.
Each client will be asked to choose from a 2, 4, 6, or 8 week maintenance schedule rotation that is pre-booked for 12 months in advance. This is something that will be discussed after the first appointment.
In the event a standing appointment needs to be rescheduled or canceled I will have to get your pet back on the schedule for the following appointment. With that said, I will not be able to adjust all future appointments since they are booked in advance and all my clients are on rotating schedules.
Missing two consecutive appointments will result in being taken off the rotation.
Due to the costs incurred in missed appointments, Pawsitively Clean reserves the right to charge a $30 fuel/no show fee for missed appointments. Repeat offenders will be charged the full cost of the groom.
All pets being groomed must be current on Rabies vaccinations. Proof of current vaccinations via veterinary paperwork will be required prior to grooming as well as the name and contact information of the veterinarian. Tags do NOT count. This policy is to ensure the health and safety of both the animal and the groomer.
You will be asked to disclose ALL issues that your pet may have, or have had in the past when going to the vet or being groomed (i.e. aggressive tendencies, likes/dislikes, and health conditions). Knowing this information ahead of time will help to ensure the health and safety of both the pet and the groomer.
In order to keep fleas from populating within the grooming unit, I request that all pets be current on proper flea and tick preventatives. SEVERE FLEA OR TICK INFESTED DOGS WILL NOT BE SERVICED.
If your dog has a minor infestation of fleas, I will automatically administer a flea bath. I will notify you if possible. The charge for this service is an additional $5-10. This cost covers the shampoo, time, and cleaning necessary to ensure that no fleas are active in the trailer. The treatment will kill the fleas on your pet, but your pet will not be protected from any fleas that may be present in your home or pet area.
If a severe infestation is found on the pet BEFORE the dog has entered the trailer, the service may be refused with a $25 refusal fee until proper preventative treatment has been used to kill the fleas or ticks.
If a severe infestation is found AFTER the dog has entered the trailer, there will be a $75 cleaning fee for pest removal in the trailer. This is in addition to the regular grooming fee.
Senior pets require additional time and care. Grooming can cause stress that can exaggerate current health issues or expose new problems, or even lead to a serious medical event or death.
All efforts are made to make your pet as comfortable as possible during the grooming process. Focus will be primarily on comfort rather than appearance.
If I feel at any time that the grooming procedure is causing too much stress on your pet, the groom will be terminated immediately.
Pawsitively Clean will provide a MAXIMUM of 15 minutes of de-matting time, IF THE PET IS TOLERANT TO IT. De-matting a pet can be painful and ruins the coat. If the matting is severe, the safest alternative is to have your pet shaved at a professional grooming facility, and start the coat over. Pawsitively Clean does not offer this type of service.
You MUST advise me if your dog suffers with aggression of any form. Pawsitively Clean reserves the right to refuse to groom any pet at risk of harming itself or the groomer. If your dog has been accepted for grooming and displays aggression during its session, the groom will be terminated immediately and the customer will be required to pay the full starting price for the groom.
The client understands that they will be held liable for all bites/injuries cause by their dog.
Refusal of Service
Pawsitively Clean reserves the right to refuse service to pets with a severe infestation of fleas or ticks, overly aggressive pets, severely matted pets, or pets with health issues that require a visit to the veterinarian. Any issues (health or other) not disclosed to the groomer by the owner or unknown by the owner that are found by the groomer can result in termination of the current grooming session at the owner’s expense and a request to seek veterinary counsel.
If, for any reason, service must be refused on site there will be a $25 refusal fee.
Disclosing that a pet may have aggressive tendencies does not automatically result in a refusal to groom! It allows the groomer to be mindful of the pet’s behavior while being groomed so the groomer can avoid being bitten and can avoid injury to the pet.
I strive to ensure the safest environment for your pet. However, I use sharp instruments and pets, especially puppies, can be wiggly during the grooming process. I take every precaution, but unfortunately some situations are beyond my control. In the event of an accident during the grooming process I will advise you to seek veterinary counsel. Any medical treatment that is performed will be the at the expense of the owner.
The owner agrees to be solely responsible and liable for any and all acts of behavior of their pet. This may include, but is not limited to, injury or death to pet, injury or death to another pet(s), or injury or death to the groomer or any other member of the public. Medical treatment expenses required by the groomer, a member of the public or for another pet will be the sole responsibility of the pet owner.
